Mrs. Martha Emmanuel has attributed the prevailing peace in Akwa Ibom to mercies of God and commended her husband, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for his style of leadership.
The wife of the state governor who spoke at the Monthly Women Prayer Meeting for the month of May held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo., said the giant strides recorded by the State under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel were commendable
The State first Lady while thanking God for the life of her husband and his team said, recent positive developments in the state has shown that God was not yet done in blessing the Akwa Ibom
She identified the ongoing industrialization in Eastern Obolo and other parts of the state and said that it could only have been God who brought the investors to the state at this point in time.
The Governor’s wife encouraged the women not to relent in their prayers for the development of the state, asserting that their prayers have been of enormous support to the administration.
In her exhortation on the theme: “I will give you Rest” Pastor Becky Udom said for Christians to have full rest in Christ Jesus, they must live a life free from sin.
Reading from Isaiah 58 verse 6, Pastor Udom called on all to live aright with God by getting rid of the “Adamic” nature in order to benefit from more of God’s eternal blessings.
Special intercessory prayers were offered in thanksgiving to God for the industrialization drive of the Governor Udom Emmanuel, and wife Martha, for being a pillar of support to the Governor.
