Governor Udom Emmanuel has advised Akwa Ibom people to continue to take precautionary measures to avoid contracting Coronavirus.
Speaking during the eighth edition of “The Governor Speaks”, Mr. Emmanuel said a year after the State Government provided free treatment for those who tested positive, it was no longer practicable for Government to continue to bear the cost.
The Governor also responded to issues raised during the Phone-In-Programme
The Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel said it was advisable for Akwa Ibom people to take the covid-19 vaccines and protect themselves while adhering to the covid-19 protocols.
On the murder of the late Iniubong Umoren who was buried Friday, May 14, Governor Emmanuel said everything would be done to ensure that justice is served.
The Governor also spoke on his administration of the state in the last six years.
Governor Udom Emmanuel also spoke on milestone recorded on the major gateways into the state.
During the two programme where Akwa Ibom people called in with questions bordering on high cost of food and the spate of insecurity, the governor spoke of his personal grief over the loss of the DG of his campaign organization and others.
