The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel says the state will continue to take the lead in infrastructure development in the country with the PDP government on the saddle in 2023.
Governor Emmanuel was speaking at the flag off of PDP campaigns in Eket senatorial district where he canvassed support for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the coming elections.
Addressing the people during the rally held at Eket township stadium, Governor Emmanuel said critical stakeholders in national politics who have visited the state in recent times could not be wrong in desiring a replication of development witnessed in Akwa Ibom at the federal level.
The state’s Chief Executive recalled the Ibom Solutions Hub agreement, signed between Akwa Ibom State Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited which seeks to establish an Onshore Logistics Base that would boost the economic fortunes of the state, saying that the PDP government was thinking long term development in the state.
The Governor made reference to the International Skills Acquisition Centre at Ikot Adaidem and other development projects across the state as novel legacies of the PDP government in Akwa Ibom and called for massive votes for the PDP candidates at all levels for continuity of good governance.
The flag-off of the PDP Rally in Eket featured the presentation of the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Pastor Umo Eno to the people as he unfolded plans to expand development in the state, soliciting votes for the success of his governorship ambition in next year’s general election.
At the rally, both national and state assembly candidates from the senatorial district were presented with the party’s flag to proceed with campaigns ahead of the 2023 elections
