Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation, AKBC has expressed gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel at the event commemorating the creation of Akwa Ibom State.
In a statement signed on behalf of the management and staff of AKBC by the Public Relations Manager, Mrs. Mercy David, the Corporation said it was excited that Governor Emmanuel has delivered excellently on his promises to the people within the last seven years of his administration.
According to the statement, the Governor has made good on his promises of infrastructural transformation, industrialisation, and human capacity development programmes
AKBC notes that the state governor’s confidence in investments is at an all-time high, resulting in many more investors getting set to throng the Akwa Ibom landscape from different parts of the world, saying such passion, enthusiasm, ingenuity, business acumen and pedigree in leadership were indeed core articles of faith that define governance.
The station expresses satisfaction over the Governor’s announcement at a recent media parley for the regularisation of the employment of a certain percentage in the workforce some of whom were engaged many years ago as artists, describing the gesture as a significant development, in the AKBC family.

It says with the anniversary gift, the Governor has turned around the fortune of vibrant, creative, and productive people who would otherwise have stagnated in the same position indefinitely.
The statement also states that besides the employment offer, the governor’s several interventionist efforts in the affairs of the Corporation, aimed at repositioning the establishment for a more efficient and global standard service delivery would always have his name written in gold.
The station, while thanking the governor for the remarkable expression of milk of human kindness, however, said it was hopeful that the lingering office accommodation challenge facing the Corporation would be given adequate attention before the end of the administration and prayed for God’s unlimited favour upon him for greater strides in future endeavours.
The Corporation, as the official broadcast organ of the state, says it is motivated by the benevolent gesture of the state governor and further pledges its commitment to the completion agenda.
It also proudly identifies with the governor as he leads the people of the State to the 35th-anniversary celebration of statehood for more economic prosperity and social well-being.
