AKSG Breathes Life on Own Broadcasting Station

• Ini Ememobong inaugurates Digitized Broadcasting Studio
• Accolades for Ukpe, AKBC Family

The Television studio of the Akwa Ibom State Broadcasting Corporation, AKBC has been upgraded with new state-of-the-art installations and high-end digital equipment, including LED modular screens and interactive screens to boost aesthetics, aide in-depth analysis and enhance interactibility.

Inaugurating the newly equipped studio at the Transmitting Station, Ntak Inyang, Wednesday, the  Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong described, the facility which can favourably compete with other TV studios anywhere in Nigeria, as a dream come true.

Expressing appreciation to the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel whose support and encouragement made the project possible, the Information Boss noted that the State Chief Executive is a leader who goes all out to get the best for his people, including giving the State an imposing presence in the global broadcasting space.

Ememobong commended the AKBC Director General, Dr. Anietie Ukpe and his management team for working assiduously to put the digital studio in place expressing the believe it would help the corporation improve on its output, while urging the staff to keep pace with the innovation to achieve high productivity and efficiency as well as longevity of the installations.

Appreciating the Emmanuel administration’s interest at repositioning the corporation, the AKBC Director General, Dr. Anietie Ukpe hailed the Governor’s enormous contribution to the information sector, including the recent absorption of some Permanent Artistes as full staff, while assuring that the equipment would be effectively utilized to justify the government’s huge investment.

Describing the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong as a brand ambassador of AKBC, Dr. Ukpe noted that, under his watch, the Corporation has gained a lot of mileage and expressed deep gratitude for the vision, direction, motivation and inspiration he has shown.

The brief ceremony was witnessed by the Honorary Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Relations and former Commissioner for Information, Prince ChrisAbasi Eyo and ace broadcaster Mr. Michael Bush, management staff of the Ministry of Information and Strategy and AKBC.
